Produced from the same, shade-grown tea leaves that are used to make Gyokuro, matcha tea takes the form of a fine powder. The dried leaves are de-veined and de-stemmed, and then carefully mill-ground. As a result, with the aid of a Matcha Whisk, matcha completely dissolves in water and other liquids.
Mixed with hot water, matcha provides a stimulating and refreshing drink. It can also be combined with fruit juice, milk or yoghurt - or even used in cooking, to give everyday recipes an unusual twist.
