Our system automatically acknowledges receipt of your order, but mere acknowledgement of receipt does not constitute acceptance of your offer to purchase the item(s).

Although we endeavour to hold stock of all items on our site this cannot be guaranteed so that by acknowledging receipt of your order we are not creating a binding obligation to supply what you have ordered but which we do not have in stock.


In the event of unavailability for whatever reason we will do our best to advise you of the position when we receive your order and await your subsequent instructions.

Payment If you order online and pay using the WordPay portal  you will have the opportunity to pay in GBP, US$ or Euro. Exchange rates are set by WorldPay and are outside the control of Cup of Tea Ltd.

Orders will normally be dispatched within 24 hours. Wherever possible, orders received before 14.00 UK time from Monday to Friday will be dispatched the same day. Normal postal lead times are: UK destinations 1-3 days, Europe 4-6 days, all other areas worldwide 5-14 days, but please allow up to twenty-one days for delivery. We will always do our best to inform you about any delay. Some items which are not normally sold by weight have arbitrary weights to generate the appropriate shipping costs.

UK Deliveries Our standard UK shipping uses Royal Mail Tracked 48.
For Express deliveries in the UK we may choose to substitute Courier deliveries for Royal Mail Special Delivery or Royal Mail Tracked 24 or vice-versa where appropriate. For example where the compensation is higher with one delivery method versus the other.

Within the UK, all prices are inclusive of any applicable VAT. Carriage, postage and packaging are free if the total order value after any discounts or redeemed loyalty Tea Leaf points is in excess of £35.00. For all UK orders with a value lower than £35.00 we will charge an additional standard shipping fee of £3.95 below a total weight of 1600g

Overseas Deliveries Overseas orders are subject to shipping charges. Our normal shipping method for orders weighing up to 2KG is air mail. Please contact us on 0044 1761 239 162 or e-mail [email protected] for shipping costs on orders over 2KG to destinations outside the UK.  We will search for the most cost effective shipping method for your order.  
*For shipments outside the UK, 'Express' means Royal Mail International Signed For Service. This service is the only option available for certain destinations including but not limited to: Russia, Baltic States, Hungary, Greece, Israel, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Turkey & Taiwan.  Although International Signed-For is a priority air mail service it does not guarantee a faster delivery. However it has proved to be more reliable to certain countries and orders can be tracked on most local postal services' websites. The costs for Express as International Signed For Service are higher than standard Air Mail.

Should delivery be undertaken in several stages for technical or logistic reasons, we will of course only charge you once for delivery costs.

Returns and exchanges We aim to keep the return or exchange process as simple as possible.

We believe you will be delighted with your purchases but there may be occasions when you feel it necessary to return an item. You have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any item within thirty working days of delivery. This applies to all our products. However, we regret that we cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of products where foodstuffs have been opened - unless the items are of unsatisfactory quality. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods to us unless we delivered the item to you in error or the item is faulty. Non-faulty returned goods must be in re-saleable condition including original packaging where applicable.

If you are exercising your right to change your mind and cancel the contract, you will receive a full refund of the price you paid for the products and any applicable delivery charges to the credit or debit card, or other payment method you used to pay. We will process the refund without delay and, in any event, not later than (a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any products supplied; or (b) if there were no products supplied, 14 days after the day on which we receive your cancellation notification. We may withhold the refund until we have received the products back.

Call charges are at normal BT rates.

We welcome all feedback about our service and try to deal with any difficulties or problems as quickly as possible. In most cases any problems can be resolved immediately by phone but if not we will advise you within 72 hours with an expected timescale for solving the issue.
