The tea you have ordered is a first flush Darjeeling which is lighter in colour than the later harvests like summer and autumn, Also you will not get the muscatel notes in a first flush Darjeeling, they are known for their fresh and floral taste. If you are specifically looking for a darker cup and muscatel flavour please order a second flush Darjeeling next time like our Darjeeling Summer or Margaret's Hope."

"An excellent Darjeeling which we have enjoyed immensely, particularly early in the day, when it suits my palate very well. Distinctive Darjeeling characteristics, with real flavour. If not the best of this variety I have drunk, in the top five, and overcame some of my prejudices about first flush teas - which are so often a disappointment. A fair price for the quality."
