HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT CHAI!

Chai, the national beverage in India, also called ‘Masala Chai’. Masala is the Hindi word for spice. Chai means tea.

There is no definite recipe for Chai. It will vary from family to family and region to region but it is traditionally black tea with fiery spices such as cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, clove fennel, anise and pepper. The infusion is normally boiled up with milk and sugar.

 

How to make the perfect Chai

For 1ltr of tea take 8 fairly heaped spoons of Chai tea and brew with boiling hot water for about 3 to 4 min.

 

Recipe for Chocolate Chai

Ingredients: Make one measure of the above using our Ronnedfelt Chocolate Chai tea, milk, grenadine, cinnamon powder.

How to make: warm the milk and foam it ( you need about 75ml per serving). During the foaming add 2 tbl spoons of grenadine per glass.

Pour the milk in glasses and finish with approx. 160ml of hot tea. Add cinnamon powder on top to taste.
