Notes on Herbs

Lemongrass – Lemongrass is a herb that has been researched for wellness compounds. It is proven that the herb detoxifies the body and improves skin health. It can increase the frequency of water release from the body and avoid its retention in the body system.

Mint - There are over thirty mint plant varieties, and they’re all appreciated for their aroma and high content of essential oil. Mint is said to improve breathing and soothe cramps within the digestive system. Mint also contains Vitamins A and C and a collection of minerals to boost health. 

 

 

Colombian Sun – Loose-leaf Tea

Our Colombian Sun tea is a harmonious blend of loose-leaf green tea and wild berries grown in Colombia's Valle del Cauca region. The climate in which this tea is produced is unique in which the southwestern part hugs the Pacific Ocean, while inland, the majestic Andes tower above. This topography offers wonderful nuances to the tea and berries, where the climate is generally fairly cool, thanks to the breezy mountain peaks.

Colombian Sun is blended with blackberry leaves, elderberries, currants, turmeric, strawberry, pink pepper and raspberry. The berries are sun-dried to keep their flavour locked in. How to Brew the Perfect Cup of Green Tea

To make the perfect cup of green tea, make sure that you pour only boiled water that has cooled slightly to 80-85 Celsius. This ensures that the tea tips do not burn when brewing.

How to Brew Springtime tea

•    Boil filtered cold water

•    Place the tea leaves in a tea strainer or filter basket

•    Pour over the hot (80 degrees) water

•    Steep the tea for the appropriate amount of time (2-3 minutes)

•    Strain the tea

•    Sweeten with sugar lumps or honey the tea to taste (we don’t recommend adding milk!)

•    Sit back and enjoy
